Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles – Switch
Yonder ligt op het enorme eiland Gemea, een weelderige grens met acht verschillende omgevingen, variërend van zonnige tropische stranden tot ijskoude met sneeuw bedekte toppen. Elke locatie heeft zijn eigen flora en fauna, samen met wisselende seizoenen en een dag / nacht-cyclus. Gemea, ooit een paradijs, heeft nog steeds het uiterlijk van één, maar toch heeft een slechte duisternis het land en de bevolking in wanhoop omhuld. De held van Yonder zal het eiland verkennen, zijn geheimen onthullen en de mysteries in zichzelf wanneer ze aan een reis van zelfontdekking beginnen, terwijl Gemea en zijn mensen worden gered. Op de zoektocht om de kampioen van het eiland te worden, zal hij of zij de krachten bundelen met inboorlingen en Sprites, etherische wezens die het enige zijn dat in staat is om de duisternis te verspreiden.
De steden van Gemea zijn gevuld met goedhartige inwoners die sinds de komst van de duisternis veel moeilijkheden hebben ondervonden. Door bij te dragen aan het eiland door talenten zoals landbouw, knutselen, koken, vissen en brouwen, kunnen relaties worden opgebouwd met de lokale bevolking, die alles, van grondstoffen tot een nieuwe boerderij, als beloningen aanbieden.
Yonder is set on the massive island of Gemea, a lush frontier with eight distinct environments ranging from sunny tropical beaches to frigid snowcapped summits. Each location has its own flora and fauna, along with changing seasons and a day-night cycle. Gemea, once a paradise, still maintains the appearance of one, yet an evil murk has enshrouded the land and its people in despair.
The hero of Yonder will explore the island, uncovering its secrets and the mysteries within them self as they embarks on a journey of self-discovery, while saving Gemea and its people. On the quest to become the island’s champion, he or she will join forces with natives and Sprites, ethereal creatures whom are the only thing capable of dispersing the murk.
The towns of Gemea are filled with kind-hearted residents who have faced many difficulties since the arrival of the murk. By contributing to the island through talents like farming, crafting, cooking, fishing and brewing, relationships can be built with the locals, who offer everything from resources to a new farm as rewards.
